Creative displays used in marketing candy

Here is an unusual example on how the Curtiss Candy Company used a cradle-shaped display to market the Baby Ruth candy bar.

This display is made out of heavy cardboard and dates between 1950-1951.

This display surely would have caught your eye as you walked into your favorite drug or grocery store as it probably sat near the cash register.

This wooden lollipop display from the Imperial Candy Company would surely attract ones attention due to its unusual indian head dress style shape and the rainbow of colors from the lollipop packaging. Since I have no examples of Societe lollipops I have used Dum Dums (A product of the Spangler Candy Co.)

The use of glass containers was a great marketing idea for candy companies because the glass could be in the shape of just about anything from animals to human figures. The glass enabled the buyer to see what kind of candy was inside.

This container from the Brandle & Smith candy company is in the style of a lovely flapper-girl dating from the 1920's-30's.
